It's difficult for me to write something like this, but I wanted to thank you for what you did in the forest. I was drowning then; or at least, I thought I was. I've drowned before, and it haunts me every day. In my sleep, in my consciousness. Every time.
But you helped me, even though I was a stranger to you. Not many people in London would do that. Especially to somebody like me, or somebody in my family. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but it is to me.
I'm not very good at saying thank you, but I got you something. Maybe it might look good on you.
Now that you're almost done reading this, please forget everything you read and throw this letter away.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to forget about this kind letter or this lovely headband like you requested. I can't forget about you either-- that forest was so dark and unnerving that it's a disservice to forget the people I met there.
